'Historic American Covered Bridges' →
looceefir: All I want is for you to want to kiss me. There are less than 1000  covered bridges left in America which still feels like a lot of covered bridges like about twenty in each state so everyone has a chance to see them I say. Repeated layers of white paint manifest the devotion of members of the…

On My Deathbed, I Ask You This
Help me into fresh pyjamas, lay out a blush-warm eiderdown on a meadowed lawn, and grant me a last lie down in the edible air. Preserve me that way – on a garden’s feather bed – my slunk body embroidered with cobwebs, leaf drift, silver trails. Honour this last voluptuous reluctance to leave.

When I Think of You On The Northbound Train
Yes, it is possible to pack intentions, note the contents of my suitcase. (My figure has never been modern at all.) Buoyant skirt and telltale cosmetics, teeth-peeling grapes in public.  I’m on the way, dressed in an unsophisticated way of thinking –   already I’m deranged with confectionary, shushed by linens you’re the third of your line to wash. Tears coat my cheeks like icing on buns....

I Want To, Go Back To, The First Time, The First...
A feeling that I should be writing a diary,  but every thought feels like an abomination. Like: drunk desire,  or cling-film bed sheets. My old diaries   bring on a feeling like being uncertain in someone’s embrace.                         How I lacked ingenious neuroses!  Meanwhile, I am in love with blondes  in the newest way passion can exert itself. But,   it was blondes who I first edged my...

Super Extra Gravity
kissing skirt unfurls in the alley • tender-stemmed glassware dangled from tame fingers • a cinematic gin bar brawl • your surrender to ultra texts • forgotten green teas cooling in the crush • the silver-brimmed purse slinks out of sight • melt perfect spheres of ice • cherry stalks idle in the bowl • every loaded thought teased out • pale silk wears at the cuff  • empty high heels...

Homebound
Merry-go-round - you tilt home giddy, like how moths skip in the acid sherbet glow of every streetlamp. Press play. Hear the chorus of handclaps that summons the hold of his hand,                           again, an upward volume swirl. You’re tricked, drunkeness muffled by a delinquent black sky, the gulping heart within each privet hedge. See the bonfire stack of leaves - fluff...

From Project for a Fainting (Brenda Shaughnessy)
I lie tender and devout with insomnia, perfect on the center pillow past midnight, sick with the thought of another year of waking, solved and happy, it has never been this way!
